Dinah and Boaz in Laguna Beach

Dinah and Boaz in Laguna Beach

This wedding was different from what we usually do in the way that the bride had converted to Judaism. Since this was an American Jewish wedding, the bride and groom didn’t see each other until the bride walked down the aisle. Dinah had a poster that she brought to the ceremony that had the meanings of the traditions that are done at the ceremony. There were five different vibes to this wedding; cocktail reception 1, ceremony, cocktail reception 2, reception, and after party. The ceremony took place over the lush oceanfront lawn, where we built a white carpeted stage with a few steps to walk up easily. The bride and groom chose to have the second cocktail reception so that they could be a part of it with their friends and family because they weren’t at the first one because they didn’t see each other until the ceremony. Dinah and Boaz were escorted by drummers who blew out of their shofars to make their grand entrance to the second cocktail reception, down a brick staircase. After the second cocktail reception, the guests were escorted to the main ballroom for the reception. Dinah was excited to be lifted on the chair for the horah. There were fun games done on the dancefloor like limbo and lots of dancing. At 11 pm everyone was escorted to a separate room for the after party. The afterparty is where the newlyweds cut their cake, dessert was served, and a lot more dancing.
